Yes the Social Workers may even have a list of places to stay on their books.
Sometimes the charities or local groups for a particular disability may have
access to accommodation as well and that includes for the carers as well.
A short break would be very welcome I am sure. It's a demanding job.
As regards a tune book, I prefer an A3 size myself (fits into a case well and
easier to prop up without the pages folding down). The Northumbrian Pipers
Society do their tune books in this format and it seems quite popular).
Take care,

        Micheal,
try your local Social Work dept. I work as a carer in Scotland and we
have ( a very few ) Respite Centres specifically for Carers or the Cared for.
Costs are usually met by Social Work. Get a good rest, the work you are doing
is very tiring and stressful. JON

If I should ever get round to publishing a book of tunes what would
be the best format?

I’m kept busy with caring duties but after a long wait I’ve just
been given a short respite break! I am looking for somewhere quiet where I can
eat and sleep for a few days at fairly low cost. U K of course, but not too far
north. Suggestions would be welcome.
