Greetings Augusto,

Yes, the first custom HG played on the TV show was made for Brian McCoy
here in the states and he wanted to be able to tune the sympathetics with
guitar tuners. There is one peghed used on the center chantrelle.  The cedar
soundboard lends a warm responsive sound to the instrument and he is now having
a specialized bridge with independent L.R. Baggs "T" piezos wired up to preamps
onboard. That is why you see the wires wrapped around the bridge while it was
being played. I had just fabricated and installed the bridge a few days earlier
and their was not enough time to finish the system befor the TV appearance.

I think that we need to ask Brian to show some pics and sound samples of
his new pedal board in opperation. He said that it almost has the bugs worked
out and that it is designed for use with HG's. The board has a looping system
along with about 20 other specialized pedals that render some amazing effects.
Sure some folks do not like this kind of thing and traditionalists may find it
most excessive, but new blood often takes the art form to the next level. It is
all rather exciting in my humble opinion.

All the best
Mel

Oh, that tenor gurdy is looking great, Mel. Too bad the video was cut just
after you started playing it.

What was the first gurdy shown? Was it that one with the peghead tuners fitted
on all sympathetic strings for a fellow here?

Congratulations!
