As I said, the police do often fall for it and then send it out on their official stationery which makes it seem official. I've had several alerts on this one over the years and it's a mean one as most of what is in there is "usual practice" but they add the bit about the firm contacting. That makes it confusing for people when they try and do genuine business or are asked for their 3 digit security code and they think that the site is a bogus one. These are probably the easiest ones to fall for as they contain no reason for not believing them as they are not asking for details etc. It's actually very good of you to alert us about things - it may just have been genuine.
