Greetings Red Hat Partners, We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of updated Red Hat Certification 4.6 and associated test suite package updates (listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an official release and should be used for all new Red Hat certification submissions. Successful results from the previous certification test suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days.
The updated Red Hat Certification packages listed below are available on the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following location: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/ redhat-certification-4.6-20170323.2.el7 redhat-certification-backend-4.6-20170323.2.el7 redhat-certification-cloud-4.6-20170323.2.el7 redhat-certification-openstack-4.6-20170323.2.el7 Updated documentation for this release can be found here: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux_hardware_certification/4.6/html/test_suite_user_guide/ This release includes enhancements and bug fixes, including changes on the redhat-certification web user interface, and in the Certification Workflow Engine (CWE) as follows: * The login page is improved to provide password reset links and a program welcome message. * Partners can now select minor versions of RHEL when creating RHEL hardware certifications in redhat-certification. * Partners can now select the base RHEL product version when creating RHOSP hardware certification in redhat-certification. * The Red Hat OpenStack Platform certification tests are updated to support newer versions of tempest. * The Red Hat OpenStack Platform version detection function is improved to support "/etc/rhosp-release" on releases which include the "rhosp-release-*.rpm" RPM package. * The director test is now executed from the overcloud node along with the other openstack certification tests, no longer requiring the separate execution on the undercloud. * The Cloud Image Certification Policy Guide and the cloud configuration subscription service test no longer list CDN as an allowable subscription in accordance with the program requirements. The complete changelog for each package may be found on the download page by selecting the package name followed by selecting the ChangeLog tab. In the forthcoming 4.7 release, the redhat-certification web user interface will move to a certification-focused workflow, replacing the current product-focused workflow. This will allow more activities to be handled directly in the redhat-certification web UI without needing to visit the CWE web UI. These changes are part of a continuing series of updates to improve the workflow of certification as well as to address issues raised by partners during the previous round of feedback interviews. If you encounter any problems, please file bugs against the "Red Hat Certification Program" product in Red Hat Bugzilla (https://bugzilla.redhat.com). Note that this may be a change from some users who are used to using the old "Red Hat Hardware Certification Program" product. We value your ongoing participation in Red Hat certification, software development, and testing efforts. Thank you for your continued partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact your Partner Manager or Engineering Account Manager.
