Greetings Red Hat Partners,
We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of updated Red Hat Certification 4.12 and associated test suite package updates (listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an official release and should be used for all new Red Hat certification submissions. Successful results from the previous certification test suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days. The updated Red Hat Certification packages listed below are available on the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following location: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/ redhat-certification-4.12-20170727.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-4.12-20170727.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-openstack-4.12-20170727.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-4.12-20170727.1.el7.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-backend-4.12-20170727.1.el6.noarch.rpm redhat-certification-cloud-4.12-20170727.1.el6.noarch.rpm This release includes enhancements and bug fixes as follows: 1. The hardware/info, cloud/supportable, and openstack/supportable Kernel subtests will now more accurately and precisely process errata, update, and release candidate kernel versions. 2. Layered certifications may now be opened for Red Hat OpenStack Platform Compute, Red Hat Gluster Storage, Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure and Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Realtime by using either the "New Certification" button or the Related Certifications tab on the original Red Hat Enterprise Linux certification, both of which are found in the redhat-certification WUI. 3. Supplemental Certifications for hardware can now be requested by uploading an additional product specification document to an existing certification on the product details tab. Upon review, the necessary supplemental certifications will be created and appear on the main certifications list as well as on the "Related Certifications" tab. 4. Passthrough Certifications can now be created for hardware products via an original, completed RHEL hardware certification. They can be created from the "New Certification" button or from the passthrough section on the "Related Certifications" tab. 5. Earliest publish date can be set for unpublished certifications on the "Publish" tab. The complete changelog for each package may be found on the download page by selecting the package name followed by selecting the ChangeLog tab. If you encounter any problems, please file bugs against the "Red Hat Certification Program" product in Red Hat Bugzilla (https://bugzilla.redhat.com). Note that this may be a change from some users who are used to using the old "Red Hat Hardware Certification Program" product. We value your ongoing participation in Red Hat certification, software development, and testing efforts. Thank you for your continued partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact your partner manager or engineering account manager.
