Greetings Red Hat Partners, We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of Red Hat Certification 8.59 and associated test suite package updates (listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an official release and should be used for new Red Hat certification submissions for the RHEL 8 and 9 family of products. Successful results from the previous certification test suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days from March 15.
The updated Red Hat Certification packages listed below are available on the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following location: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/ The Red Hat Certification management interface on Red Hat Partner Connect, which is available at https://rhcert.connect.redhat.com, has been updated to use these packages. This release includes enhancements and bug fixes as follows: New features Program Details Red Hat products affected Hardware Certification The usb_storage test is refactored - A generic usb_storage test allows any USB storage to be tested - USB2_Storage, USB3_5Gbps_Storage, USB3_10Gbps_Storage, USB3_20Gbps_Storage, USB4_20Gbps_Storage, USB4_40Gbps_Storage now cover specific USB storage classes on the basis of the supported USB version and interface speed. Red Hat Enterprise Linux Hardware Certification Support for 400 Gb/s InfiniBand adapters is added - A new Infiniband_NDR test covers InfiniBand NDR adapters. - A new 400GigRoCE test covers InfiniBand RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) adapters. Red Hat Enterprise Linux Improvements Program Details Red Hat products affected Software Certification The Hypervisor check now warns on non-certified hypervisors - The supportable test will no longer fail when the software certification testing is run on a non-certified hypervisor. Note: Red Hat does not test the certification test suite on these hypervisors, where unexpected issues may be encountered. Red Hat Enterprise Linux Bug fixes Program Details Red Hat products affected Hardware Certification Audio test no longer traceback on unexpected udevadm output - In some cases, the internal audio test would not be planned due to an uncommon udevadm output bug.
