Greetings Red Hat Partners, We are pleased to announce the general availability (GA) of Red Hat Certification 8.60 and associated test suite package updates (listed below). This Red Hat Certification package update *is* an official release and should be used for new Red Hat certification submissions. Successful results from the previous certification test suite will be accepted for a period of 90 days.
The updated Red Hat Certification packages listed below are available on the Red Hat Customer Portal at the following location: https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/ The Red Hat Certification management interface on Red Hat Partner Connect, which is available at https://rhcert.connect.redhat.com, has been updated to use these packages. This release includes enhancements and bug fixes as follows: New features Program Details Red Hat Products affected Hardware Certification Red Hat OpenShift Assisted Installer - The assisted installer test is added to RHOCP 4 baremetal test suite. This test verifies that Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS boots and installs through the Assisted Installer (provided on console.redhat.com <http://https//console.redhat.com>). Additionally the test verified the system operates correctly as a Single Node Openshift. This test is optional for RHOCP 4 alongside the existing IPI test. Successfully completing this test will add an “Assisted Installer” capability to the existing RHOCP 4 system certification. The test is provided in this suite update for early access, however, the certification workflow will not be available until a later date. RHOCP 4.x Software Certification Cluster Inspection for Operators - This test is added to RHOCP 4 software certification for operators. The cluster inspection test verifies the cluster’s health and the configuration of application components per existing policy. This test requires the operator to be running on a functional RHOCP cluster and is included in the redhat-certification-openshift test suite RPM available here <https://access.redhat.com/downloads/content/282/>. RHOCP 4.x Software Certification New Validation checklist item for Operators - A new checklist item titled “Validate the functionality of your product on this OpenShift release” is added to all Operator Certifications. This checklist item corresponds to the Cluster Inspection testing and provides the location for uploading cluster inspection results. Cluster inspection is optional at this time as the test is in preview. If you do not wish to take advantage of this preview for any reason please inform the Red Hat Certification Operations Associate in the dialog so they may waive this requirement for now. Cluster inspection is required one time per Operator project at this time. Cluster inspection is expected to move out of preview along with the next official release of RHOCP where it will become mandatory for both new and existing products. RHOCP 4.x Software Certification New CNF Certification project type - CNF certification now has its own project type. This project type allows CNF partners to track their achievements for each component (container, helm charts, operators) in individual component projects as a build up prior to testing the CNF in the CNF project achieving CNF certification. RHOCP 4.x Hardware Certification New test for Wi-Fi 6E - The Wi-Fi 6E 6GHz channel is now verifiable by the WiFi6E test. The test is made available as a technology preview. RHEL 8 and above Improvements Program Details Red Hat Products affected Hardware Certification A bug is fixed in the WirelessAX test - A bug is fixed where the WirelessAX test would incorrectly pass when a subtest failed. This issue is now fixed. RHEL-8 and Above Hardware Certification Unwanted prefixes are removed - To increase legibility in teh logs, various prefixes in the output such as INFO and SUCCESS are no longer displayed. RHEL-8 and Above Hardware Certification VIDEO_PORTS test updated for bulk port testing - The VIDEO_PORTS test now automatically tests all connected monitors instead of requiring the user to move a window. The test also logs more information about connected displays. The test remains as technology preview. RHEL 9 and above Bug fixes Program Details Red Hat Products affected Hardware Certification A bug is fixed in the bandwidth targets for all Infiniband and Omnipath tests - A bug is fixed where the bandwidth targets for the Infiniband and Omnipath test would incorrectly fail when the target was achieved. RHEL-8 and Above Hardware Certification The hardware test suite now prompts if a non-GA kernel is in use - A prompt is added when a non-GA kernel is detected to minimize wasted effort. The prompt allows the user to halt the testing and correct the kernel before proceeding with the full test run. GA kernel’s are required for certification, however the test suite may be utilized for other purposes and in special situations a non-GA kernel is allowed. This prompt provides an attempt for the test suite balance between doing what is needed to achieve certification and doing as the user instructed. RHEL-8 and Above We value your ongoing participation in Red Hat certification, software development, and testing efforts. Thank you for your continued partnership. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us through the Red Hat Partner Acceleration Desk <https://connect.redhat.com/support/technology-partner/>. Regards, The Red Hat Certification Team
