do not despare m8y!
i'm running an RM1x all on it's lonesome and I'm also having some "amusing"
moments. Having not produced anything for a very long time I was kinda rusty
(and gone slightly green) prior to purchasing the 1x. Since then (about a
month) I've come along in leaps and bounds (well, hops and skips really) but
I've got over the frustration side of things (a little). The stuff I'm
mainly aiming for is of the drum n bass variety, though getting a breakbeat
that rolls sufficiently to be interesting took some time. The one thing that
I am finding that I could do with a keyboard and a sampler to add a little
more depth. I would kill for a decent appegiator right now as the one on the
1x is frankly shite. Luckily for me my brother in law (bobule) and a good
friend of mine (nij) both have 1xs and have been able to help iron out any
problems I've had. Nij is currently part of a live drum n bass act by the
name of Impact and are doing lots of gigs in the uk using an RM1x...and
believe me some of the stuff he's producing seriously kicks ass. So worry
not, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It's just a bit indistinct
and the filters need adjusting!
Take it easy, Haze
