Personally, I can only use the RM in conjunction with other gear. I mean I
think it's an amazing self contained unit...but unless I switch over to the
interface, controls, sounds etc of a different machine......well....but the
third track in a song I'm just creating crap.
Oftentimes I'll go back to the Rm and add extra tracks and that's
cool......but just sticking with it alone has always been a bad combo for me.
Personally I think the RM is a fairly descent tone generator wrapped inside a
fucking amazing sequencer. It's the center of my studio (made me sell my
MC-505 and Demote my MPC to a big drum machine).
