well, since i can only afford one doohickey at around 500 clams, i'm
making a crucial decision to either go the synth or sampler route. i've
narrowed down my options to a used esi-32 or a new micro modular. i'm
wanting to get deep into sound design, and the modular would be great for
that, but the esi-32 offers the sound editing capabitlities of my pc in a
portable package.
so, what's the more killer combo: esi-32 + rm1x, or micro modular + rm1x.
i'd like to be making minimal hypnotic music a la plastikman or steve
stoll, rather than breakbeat stuff.
can the micro get 2 303-ish voices going simultaneously?
