The black 'mute memory' keys are for storing 'mute modes'. Mute a few
tracks and press shift+MuteMemoryKey. That 'mute pattern' is now stored on
that key. You have five mute memory keys to store mute patterns on, and
they will work in all modes. This isn't quite as nice as having the pattern
switching adn muting on seperate keys (could you hack a pc1600x to do
that?) but it's workable.
