Check out http://www.pragakhan.com and http://www.lordsofacid.com it's all
pretty cool! I don't know of any other bands of there that have that kind of
sound.. Of course, Praga Khan (Maurice Englegen) and Oliver Adams write/record
all of the Lords of Acid music too, and they use a different band for touring.
Praga Khan does his solo thing live. They also did projects under the names
Channel X, Digital Orgasm, and The Immortals (when Virgin hired them to make a
CD where each song was about a character from Mortal Kombat). I really like the
energy the Lords have although they are way hardcore on the porn! That's ok I
guess...but some people consider it a sell-out for attention.
I still like the Lords first album, LUST. That one was so unique for its time..
I think many of their fans wish they would release more material like that.
Voodoo-U was very industrial, and Our Little Secret was better, but didn't have
quite the catchiness that LUST did. I guess LUST just seemed like these 2 guys
who were doing really cool shit behind keyboards and samplers where as Voodoo-U
and Secret revolved on extreme sex. Not that it's a bad thing, but it
eventually gets old.. The way it was done on LUST was killer! I Must Increase
My Bust was so funny!! And of course, who could forget I Sit On Acid?
