The AN1x is a monotimbral synth, meaning it can only play one sound (on one
MIDI channel) at a time. You can work around this by assigning differrent
MIDI channels to the 2 scenes, but that's very limited and I've never
bothered to try. There are some polytimbral virtual analogs around (Access
Virus, Novation Supernova, Nord) but they're quite a bit more expensive than
the AN1x. Hope this helps.
