Actually, I was thinking how the "Create Roll" job could be made more intuitive, and came up with something very similar. We just need the notion of "selection" and two buttons for setting selection start/end in realtime; possibly a screen where you can see and adjust these values. Now, the selection becomes the default time range for all jobs that need one - copy, erase, glide, create roll, crescendo etc. (I'd throw in cut and trim as well). It would make life a lot easier... have a nice day everybody Boris.
