Here is something that is bound to start a conversation (if anyone is around
to read it). Last months Keyboard magazine interviewed Nine Inch Nails and
Pet Shop Boys, both used Emagic's Logic Audio in the studio! It didn't say
what NIN uses live, but Pet Shop Boys also use Logic Audio in concert as
well.
Right now I'm using an RM1x and haven't really explored all of its option
yet. But for $550 it's tempting to try Logic Platinum. I already have an
A3000 for sampling, so I would need it for that (for now anyway), so I can't
decide if it would be a waste because I would only be using it for a
fraction of its potential, and I heard the learning curve is a bitch! I'm
sure with practice I'll get the RM1x memorized, but for now it seems tedious
only because I'm new to sequencing in general, whether its hardware or
software.
Does anyone here use their hardware sequencer in combo with Logic? What
would be the benefits?
Thanks,
Mark
