I use patternmode for all my new stuff. I have a few songs that cant
really be done in pattern mode. too much structure (time signature
changes, temp changes..etc), but besides thoes few, all patternmode.
everything is now being done in pattern mode for the sake of playing live.
If im only going to hit play on a sequencer or dat, I might as well just
point people to my mp3.com page instead.
as far as messing up, one thing I've learned is that no one will
scrutinize you as much as yourself. ive bitched and moaned about things
that other people never heard.
but, Rob did make some good points, there is no reason not to cover your
butt for the unexpected. I am definatly going to have a cd or original
material playing, plugged into the mixer with the levels pulled down. any
problems, and up that channel. (also using it to transition between songs,
cause the rm1x doesnt switch between songs gracefully enough)
