About the scrutinization: Yes, I *am* pretty hard on myself, and fairly hard
on others. I *know* when I screw up, and I also *know* when I dont, but I
dont see any reason to put yourself at risk for nothing but sheer lack of
presence of mind.

Oh, and BTW, I have done entire gigs with just a Nord Lead and some FX
pedals completely impromtu, without ANY nets to speak of. And, I made NO
mistakes, much to my amazement, playing riffs over arpeggiations of chords,
drums, and arp'd basslines.

Of course, I thought the Nord Lead was going to short because of all the
sweating I was doing all over it! hehe. Lots more work involved there than
I originally hoped for. No need for step aerobics for a while. ;)

I know VERY few ppl ballsy enough to do that, or that even have that much
talent or ingenuity. But, your talent and ingenuity doesnt make up for the
unknown.

And, I have also done entire gigs (read: 1hour spot) with just the Q309. Far
easier, but slightly more glitchy.

BUT, in the case of something going wrong that its out of your control, what
do you do? 5 minutes of silence is always a reality just around the corner.

Rob
