This is for ebsi4711 (and possibly others on the list), Sorry for my delayed response, I have been on vacation. You can find my hacked acpi_call module to turn off Nvidia GPU here:
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showpost.php?p=1402584&postcount=45 However, you can do the same thing with the recently updated acpi_call module by passing the correct arguments. I'm going to update my thread at FedoraForum.org with a howto soon. In the mean time, can someone PLEASE point me at some documentation on Nvidia's ACPI Methods? I still have zero idea what they actually do, and my successes so far have been from pure experimentation. I'm now attempting to find the correct procedure to enable the nVidia gpu for system use. Any help is much appreciated. -G
