Thank you, it is odd because libnvidia.so is nowhere to be found, even
after updatedb.
The /var/log/nvidia-install log mentions that the install completed
successfully (below).
I tried a variety of additions to ModulePath, currently reading:
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules,/usr/lib/nvidia"
but they all result in the same:
