Hi Jeff, Yes, i'm developing hydrogen on OS X and Linux. Building on OS X is not so very complicated if you're working with MacPorts to build the dependencies of hydrogen. I've updated the wiki page https://github.com/hydrogen-music/hydrogen/wiki/Building-Hydrogen-from-source-%28MAC-OSX%29 just now and committed a small bugfix for building on OS X.
Please don't use the page https://github.com/hydrogen-music/hydrogen/wiki/Packaging-for-MAC-OSX. This is about packaging an OS X (to distribute it for other people).
