Yes, sounds good. People could upload and share songs, drumkits,
patterns via their own repos or as gists. Also, according to OONI probe
[1] the web page is accessible in all countries.
But this still raises the question about how we maintain/moderate the
discussion. Anyway, I think it's at least worth trying.
Off topic:
I'm not quite sure if it's a good idea in general to put discussions on
such centralized platform hosting F(L)OSS code. If we would organize the
fifth international or plan a coup against whatsoever, would github.com
be blocked by certain ISPs? Will there by moderation by the Github team
itself by assuring compliance to EU regulations? And maybe not so off
topic: are we accountable for copyright violations due to content posted
there?
