Hi, and thanxs for the nice message, this seems to be a low traffic mailing list. I use hydrogen on debian, sound driver is ALSA, I did use jack, but now that malfunctions. However I can use hydrogen directly to the sound card. But with a minor sound experience. I use it to compose some wav files, which i then postprocess in audacity and then save for distribution as mp3. Hydrogen is very powerful but the configuration is tricky and I need some help for troubleshooting the ALSA Jack Hydrogen communication. I use debian Lenny for this. I'm also on the Jack mailing list. Question: what is the preffered way to let hydrogen communicate with a Linux sound card? Is ALSA drivers the better driver? Can ALSA be used in combination with Jack?
