I have Hydrogen 1.2.4 running on a Dell Inspiron laptop under Windows 11. I
am trying to configure it to drive an Alesis SR-16 drum machine (whose sound
I like but whose programming interface is diabolical) via MIDI using an
M-Audio MIDIsport Uno USB-MIDI adapter.  I have:

* The MIDIsport connected to a USB port and its up-to-date driver
installed - as expected, the MIDIsport's "USB LED" indicator lights up green
to that it is powered and functioning as a MIDI interface.
* Under Options > Preferences > MIDI System in Hydrogen I have
following selections:

*       MIDI driver: PortMidi
*       Input: Mone
*       Output: MIDISPORT Uno Out
*       Channel: 10
*       Ignore note-off: disabled
*       Enable MIDI feedback: enabled
* Discard MIDI messages .: disabled
* Use output note as input note: disabled

* The MIDI output of the MIDIsport is connected to the MIDI input of
the SR-16, which is set to OMNI for its MIDI channel.

However, when I play a pattern or song in Hydrogen neither of the other
indicator lights on the MIDIsport (for MIDI input and output activity
respectively) shows anything and, not surprisingly, there's no response from
the SR-16.

Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong or might try next?
