  *-iso10646-1[0_0xffff]

if they are sure that they want to have the full font.

In other words, allow the specification of a default subrange for
sparsely populated ISO10646-1 fonts (e.g., those with more than 90% of
their characters below 0x3000).

Sounds like a plan to me.
