Hi guys.

First, I want to thank you all for helping me out getting the "ç" working.

Following your instructions, I have the following config in XF86Config:

  Identifier "Keyboard0"
  Driver "keyboard"
  Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
  Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
  Option "XkbLayout" "us_intl"
  Option "XkbOptions" "grp:switch"

And I have the en_US.UTF-8 locale setup. Currently I use the <RightAlt>-<comma> <c> combination to generate "ç" (c with cedilla).

After some consideration, I believe that us_intl with en_US.UTF-8 should continue to remain as such. US intl keyboard mapping must allow for all latin caracters to be generated, therefore for the greater "good for humanity", I came to terms and prefer to see <apostrophe> <c> generate "ć" (c with accent) instead of what I initially proposed, "ç" (c with cedilla).

But, I am an old fart and if it is possible, I would like to introduce some "win_us_intl" key mapping which would follow the MS US intl keyboard mapping. When writting in french, it is easier to generate "ç" with <apostrophe> <c> than with <RightAlt>-<comma> <c>.

The problem is, from my understanding, that the keyboard mapping is intertwined with the locale. It is imperative that I use standard locales as setup by Red Hat's preference's langage selection tool.

Thus, I would like to have <apostrophe>-<c> generate "ç", but keeping the en_US.UTF-8 locale. Is this possible? Can we play with the XkbLayout option only and have it set to something like "win_us_intl" to get <apostrophe> <c> generate "ç"?
