As a CPA marketer, one of the most critical parts of your job will be choosing
an offer. How much money you make will ultimately depend on how wisely you make
this decision. Here are the steps you need to take to get your CPA marketing
business going.

First of all, you will need to think about which niche you'd like to market.
Most likely, this will be easy for you if you are already involved in PPC
marketing (see my other articles on PPC if not). You may also have a website
that is focused in an area you'd like to further promote.

Once you have determined your niche, you can start looking at the offers that
are available. There will probably be a variety of affiliate offers, e-mail
submits, zip submits and trial offers. Take a close look at the payout for
each one, although this will not be the only basis for your decision. Keep in
mind that lower payouts may often convert much more easily.

Next, look at which methods are allowed in promoting the offer. This will vary
by offer. Some companies are very restrictive as to how offers can be promoted,
while others will allow any method. PPC, SEO, contextual and e-mail are
examples of the types of offers that might be allowed or disallowed.

Another important consideration is to determine which steps the customer will
have to complete before you can be paid. Pay close attention to each indivdual
offer, because this can vary by offer and is often what makes or breaks success
in conversion. How much the customer will have to do to complete the offer can
also make a big difference in how much you will be paid. Some offers are so
complex that very few customers if any, ever get through them, so you'll make
very little money from these. If you look for simple, yet compelling offers,
you probably stand a much better chance of making money.

There are many different factors that are important in choosing a CPA offer.
Don't let yourself be overwhelmed by the number of offers listed. It's best to
just try out one or twop at first and find out which ones convert the best. It
will be much more encouraging if you pick a couple and get started making
money, rather than spending days over deliberating about which might work best
