One of the most common - if not the most common - questions asked by affiliate marketers who are just getting started is "why am I not making any sales yet?". This is especially true once they start generating a little bit of traffic flow but still do not see much in terms of actual conversion. After all, there is a difference between traffic and people who actually want make a purchase from you. Often, your main problem is that you have selected the wrong product. If you discover that you have had several hundred people click through your pages and yet you aren't seeing any conversions into sales, then you will likely want to consider whether your product is the right one for your focus. Keep in mind, though, that there are other issues to consider as well. Ask yourself these questions before dumping your product: 1 - Have you created a landing page that is directly related to your product? 2 - Is the sales copy on your page well written? Does it make you want to buy your own product? 3 - Are you focusing on keywords that are directly related to your product? Have you done the research to find the best keywords for your product? 4 - Is the niche you are focusing on over saturated? Are there hundreds or thousands of other marketers promoting this product. If they are not, then it is up to you to remedy those problems. Rewrite your landing page and focus on keywords that will be quite relevant to your product. This way, when people are searching for your product, they will have used your keywords and won't be looking for something else instead. If you truly feel that you are doing everything right, though, then it could simply be that you have not chosen the right product for your affiliate marketing campaign. Unfortunately there is no exact science to choosing the right product to promote but if you can answer these questions you may be on the right track. 1 - Would you buy the product? If you would not buy the product then how do you expect others to want to spend their hard earned money on it. 2 - Is there a unique selling point to the product or does it solve problems related to your niche? Does this product have a clear and unique advantage that is not available in any other product in the same niche.
