You've read many novels. Some great one's, some not so great. You love the feeling you get when you lose yourself in a good book, with characters that you can believe in and root for. But you are not like most people. You are not content to put down a novel when you are finished, and look for the next one to read. You are one of those people, that when you finish, you think to yourself: "I could do that." You know that this is true. Because you are reading this, you can think of many ways that prove this. Not only is this true, but it is inevitable when you realize just what you need to discover about yourself which you allow you to share your truth with others. There is a very powerful, and very deep feeling of confidence and self-belief that comes after making it a habit of writing every day, for a least a few hundred words. It doesn't matter if what you write is worthy of a Novel Prize. What matters it that you consistently write. Every day. Not only will your appreciation of your own work increase, but your actual writing skills will dramatically improve as well. After all, you are a writer. Your job is to write.
