If you are looking to have and elegant, beautiful wedding reception, you don't
have to go over board on decorations, or break the bank. There are many ways to
decorate, according to your theme and colors. Here are a few different things
that I believe work with any color or theme, are easy to do, and are also cost
efficient. Get creative and don't be afraid to be different.

Decorate the doorways with tool, rope lighting, and even add some fake flowers.
You can pick up tool at any fabric store, and it is priced very cheaply. The
rope lighting can be found at home improvement stores or super stores. I found
a box at a local super store that had almost 40ft for under $10.00. The flowers
or flower vines you can find at any local craft store, or even a dollar store.

Take the rope lighting, and cover it in the tool. Next pin it or secure it on
the doorways however you want, draping to twisting, whatever you want. Next at
the fake flowers. You can have vines with flowers, and wind them in with the
tool, or you can use individual tops of the flowers and try hot gluing them
into the tool. Either way it provides for an elegant entrance. You can also use
this along the bridal party table.

Another great way to decorate is to create a whimsical space out of the dance
floor. Get four pillars, or more if needed, at a local hardware or home
improvement store, or you can even find kits or build them yourself. Just like
the entrance, add tool and rope lights or twinkle lights, connecting between
the pillars. The dance floor becomes its own beautiful space and focal point.

There are so many things that you can do on a budget. Go to your local dollar
store and get a bunch of balloons in the colors of your theme. Bunch them
together and place them in the corners. Have them anchored down with a
decorative pot or basket. Cray paper is a traditional favorite, and can also be
purchases relatively cheaply.

Don't want to spend the money on chair covers? Instead try to tie large fabric
bows over each chair. Have pictures of the bride and groom blown up at a local
superstore or pharmacy, and place them throughout the reception. Anything you
want to do is up to you, its your special day.
