As work starts heating up on atlasing BBA blocks, some problems have started
to surface after our move to a different provider this spring. I am asking
for everyone's help to help me trouble-shoot these issues.
1) Some people are having trouble with getting kicked out before they have
completed their entry. I tried something last night but really need to hear
from people if this is continuing. If this happens to you, please supply me
with the following information:
* PC or Mac?
* What browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) are you
using?
* Approximate number of species you were entering
This problem is really a mystery to me and may require some major changes.
If we can get by for awhile it would be nice.
2) Within the past 24 hours I have heard from two individuals who are
missing some data they have entered, but when they try to add it again, they
are getting a message it is already there. I you discover this issue,
please provide me with the following information:
* Block (name or number is fine)
* Trip date
* A few species that are missing
I hope to be able to solve this one fairly quickly once I have some
information.
3) Several people have requested their password be reset. I know with our
old provider some mail systems (most notably Mediacom) blocked these
automated e-mails. I do receive a copy of your request, so if you do not
receive your new password fairly quickly, please contact me at this address.
4) If you have forgotten your login and/or password, please do not create a
new account. We would like to track on observer effort and if you become
two or three people that becomes difficult. You can either request your
login on-line or ask for help from either Nicki Nagl (BBA Coordinator) or
me.
Thanks for your cooperation and please do not be afraid to let me know
exactly what is happening.
