A first winter Harris Sparrow has been feeding on the ground beneath the bird feeders since last Thursday. I live along the west bank of the Cedar River in Cedar County upstream about 2 miles from Rochester, Iowa. My address is 249 W, Rochester Ave., Atalissa Iowa.
