I checked the Red Rock dam area this morning and again in the late afternoon.  
Hightlights were:

1 Glaucous Gull -- young bird of undetermined age in flight from the lake ice 
roost headed downstream over the dam
1 Great Blue Heron -- looking very out of place standing in the gull roost on 
the lake ice
2 Red-breasted Mergansers -- 1 below the dam, 1 in the larger remaining hole 
5 Gadwall 
1 American Black Duck
1 American Coot

I also had 32 pheasants around Neal Smith NWR--the only sizable concentration I 
have seen in quite awhile.
