The three Long-tailed ducks that have been reported on the Mississippi River near the town of Wever (Lee County) were still present this afternoon. To find the ducks take US Hwy 61 south from Burlington or north from Fort Madison to the town of Wever, which is in north Lee County. Turn east of County Road X50 head drive approximately 5-6 miles to the river.

The ducks were along the Iowa shore near the end of Co.X50 close enough to be seen with binoculars, although better sightings can be made using a scope. There is a male and 2 female/immature types. The ducks were seen between the Colusa Elevator and the pumping station near the very end of the road.
