Birders, I made a mid-day trip to the Des Moines area today and decided to take the "scenic route" on my way down. I flushed a covey of 9 GRAY PARTRIDGE on W Avenue just south of 280th Street in Boone County. The birds were on the road when they flushed and flew to a nearby pasture before landing again.
