I checked the marshes this morning and again quick this afternoon after receiving a report that the Little Blue Heron was on the impoundment lake SW of Harrier Marsh (West of 169). I did not find the Little Blue Heron, but the impoundment still had some nice finds.

Impoundment Lake:
4 Snow Geese (1 bl, 3 white) Have been here since late March
33 Black Terns
2 Franklin's Gull
5 Gt Blue Heron

Harrier Marsh:
3 broods of Pied Billed Greebes (2 chicks 1/3 grown, I female with 5 chicks and a female on a nest with 4 or 5 chicks)
1 Young Hooded Merganser
Least Bittern Calling
Sora Calling
Virginia Rail calling
1 Green Heron
Yellow Headed Blackbirds

Snake Creek marsh:
Yellow Headed Blackbirds
2 Least Bittern (came in open for a period of time)
Virginia Rail Calling
Sora Calling
