This is possibly the same Mute Swan we saw at the pond at DMACC's south
West Des Moines campus about a week ago.

There was a Mute Swan on the south edge of Valley Junction in West Des
Moines this morning. As you go south on 63rd Street, go just past
Railroad Avenue, the tracks, and then turn right (west) on Lincoln
Street. Within a hundered yards or so, the swan was visible in a
large flooded field on the left along with some Canada Geese and a few
Mallards. There was also an adult Bald Eagle in the immediate area.
