Running some errands this afternoon, I stumbled upon a WESTERN KINGBIRD here in Ankeny at about 12:30 PM. The bird was located along SE Surfine Dr., just east of SE Cortina Dr., right across from the Sysco Co. warehouse and in front of a power transmissions area. This is located about 1/2 mile - ish northeast of Des Moines Area Community College. I've linked a Google map of the Ankeny Western Kingbird for those interested.
