Apologize for the late report, but I viewed the Mute Swan off Lincoln St./63rd in West Des Moines yesterday evening at about 5:20 PM. Seeing it on the initial driveby, I continued along Lincoln to find a place to turn around and upon coming back, the Swan was already in flight heading to the south and east. Also, yesterday over my lunch hour, I had a Eurasian Collared-Dove fly over my car while I was taking a phone call in the WalMart parking lot in Ankeny. For the record, the Casey's gas station was about 50 yards away.
