Hi all,
Reid and I just got home for Lucas Co. where we heard only one calling
Chuck-wills-widow at 9:31 in a locations just outside of the
Whitebreast Unit of Stephens State Forest. As you approach the
Whitebreast Unit from the east, just before you start going up the
hill into the unit is where we heard the bird right by the south side
of the road. We did drive to the traditional location where the birds
have been located in the past and did not even hear a Whippoorwill!
We continued into the unit and finally heard one Whippoorwill some
distance away.
