Mike-I am wondering where you are? Also has anyone out there seen any
young pheasants. So far this year I have seen none, which on normal
years is very unusual, but then again this was not a normal year
weather-wise with all the rain.
We saw a very reduced number of hen pheasants early this spring, but
have not seen but one hen in the last two months. In my field work I
usually come upon at least a couple of nests, but so far that too has
not happened.

We have been flushing a single Gray Partridge from time to time this
summer as we walk in the morning. I recently flushed some young
birds that but I was not sure if they were Pheasants or Partridge
because they were so small. Today I got confirmation when I saw both
adult and young Partridge.
