I led an ICBC trip to Belgum's Grove this morning.  Or at least I went as no one else showed up.  I think it might be a neat place in Spring or Summer.  It is a 40 acre preserve owned by the Johnson Co Heritage Trust, and is mostly grassland and some restored prairie. It is located W of Hills.

One my way down, I stopped at some muddy place from where the Iowa had been out of its banks.  I got all exited as I saw shorebirds!  Alas they were all Killdeer [or is it Killdeers or Killsdeer]
