October 19th Program, 7 p.m.
Iowa Audubon--
Bird Conservation and Education for the 21st Century

Doug Harr will present a program covering the history of Iowa Audubon,
highlighting some of the projects, such as Important Bird Area, and other
programs designed to meet the objectives of habitat conservation, bird
science, and bird education.

Meetings of Des Moines Audubon Society begin at 7 p.m. and are held in the
lower level of Westminster Presbyterian Church, which is located at the
corner of Beaver and Franklin Avenues in Des Moines. Parking is available on
the north and west sides of the church and an elevator can be accessed at
