I saw small numbers but a nice variety of waterfowl and other along the 
Mississippi River in Davenport today. Before the freezing temperatures came 
last week I found very little waterfowl along the river or anywhere in Scott 
County the last few months (except for Canada Goose of course).

water treatment plant "outfall" at Wapello Ave.:
Northern Pintail
Pied-billed Grebe
Green-winged Teal
Lesser Scaup
Common Goldeneye
Common Merganser
Great Blue Heron
Last week: Peregrine Falcon (probably one of the pair that nest on the I-280 
bridge) and Double-crested Cormorant

Horse (Enchanted) Island slough:
Trumpeter Swan (2 adults and 4 juveniles)
Ring-necked Duck
Lesser Scaup
Common Goldeneye

Utah Ave.:
Wood Duck
American Black Duck
