This morning I went back to Cherokee county to see if I could relocate the
Mountain Bluebird. I found a large flock of bluebirds about a mile southeast
of the original indicated location as the bluebird flies. I sorted through at
least 26 Eastern Bluebirds as they moved across the road and up a draw on S
Ave. south of 480th St. I could not confirm that the special one was with
them. There were at least two Yellow-rumped Warblers associating with the
flock, however.

Along Barnes Road was a large flock of robins, tree sparrows and juncoes that
were being watched from the tallest nearby tree by a Northern Shrike.

On the way home I did find a Townsend's Solitaire in the same general area
along 505th St. off of Hwy 10 east of Peterson where I found a bird on January
2nd.
