I made a few quick stops on a mostly non-birding trip to SW Iowa today and saw
the following birds of note:

23.5 species of waterfowl including Trumpeter Swans in 4 counties (Mills,
Fremont, Audubon, and Greene), 2 Blue-winged Teal, and a male Mallard X
Northern Pintail hybrid in Fremont Co.
21 Am. White Pelicans at Riverton W.A.
1 Great Blue Heron in Guthrie Co.
1 adult Golden Eagle in Fremont Co.
2 Sandhill Cranes at Riverton W.A.
1 adult Franklin's Gull in Fremont Co.
