Hi All, I spent about an hour working the perimeter of Cone Marsh this afternoon. Thousands of waterfowl continue; I don't think I've ever seen so many Greater White-fronted Geese in my life. I believe I saw more American Wigeon and Northern Pintails today than I have over the past few years combined. The Ross's Geese were also a nice addition. No luck with Swans, Sandhill Cranes, or Eurasian Tree Sparrows. List included below. Seven Eurasian Collared-Doves at the south end of Lone Tree in Johnson Co. were a nice surprise (have these been present for a while?) Danny Akers Iowa City & Ankeny [email protected]
