I was just reviewing photos I took of geese about a half mile east of the
landfill in Dickinson County (east of Arnolds Park). The geese were on
the north side of the road about 6:00 pm on a private area part of the
Bird Conservation Area.
There were about 30 or more snow geese along with Canada Geese. As I was
reviewing the photo I found three White-Fronted Geese sitting on the ice
of the wetland with the rest.

Lots of divers just waiting for the Iowa Great Lakes to open. The ducks
and geese are sitting on the old wetland basins that are farmed. It is
amazing to see so many ducks around the area.
