Mark Proescholdt and I spent the day birding NE Iowa. We found a good diversity
of waterfowl (24 species) that included 2 Trumpeter Swans at Sweet Marsh and
30+ Greater Scaup at Pool 10, 35 American Kestrels, Sandhill Cranes at Sweet
Marsh (3) and Cardinal Marsh (13), a Carolina Wren at Guttenberg, and many
small flocks of Lapland Longspurs.
