Birders, Spent the morning in Chichaqua Bottoms (Polk Co.) with the Iowa State SEEDS (Strategies for Ecology Education, Diversity and Sustainability) group for their annual BioBlitz. Ended up with 46 bird species for the 3 hours we were out.
Best birds were Winter Wren, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Rusty Blackbirds, and Northern Waterthrush. The highlight for me was a family of five River Otters.
