I did a little birding in SW Iowa before the start of the IOU meeting and found 
the following birds of note:

28 April
----------
1 male Cinnamon Teal in extreme SW Mills Co. (near Nottleman Island)
1 Snowy Egret and 1 Peregrine Falcon at Riverton W.A.
14 sp. of shorebirds at Summit L. including 1 Willet
2 Willets, 3 Hudsonian Godwits, and 1 Marbled Godwit at Waubonsie W.A.

29 April
----------
1 Peregrine Falcon, 1 Piping Plover, 8 Willets, and 1 alternate adult Western 
Sandpiper at Riverton W.A.
1 Louisiana Waterthrush at Lake of Three Fires S.P.
Many FOS birds including Green Heron, Eastern Kingbird, Warbling Vireo, Sedge 
Wren, Tennessee Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Clay-colored and Grasshopper 
sparrows, and Bobolink.
